DIY Fitness Challenges
Whether sports you are into, be it cycling, running, working out at the gym, yoga, surfing, etc etc, we have a number of fitness ‘challenges’ that we can offer you to take on as part of your day. These are great fun and can be as hard or as easy as you want, plus we can tailor them to fit in with whatever else you have planned for the day. All of them are totally free apart from Melly’s Devon Detox, and those that require hire of our electric bikes or personal trainers.
Get up with the sun and put a solid hour of exercise in before breakfast, then treat yourself to that extra slice of toast and marmalade!
Early mornings on Exmoor are well worth getting up early for, and we have some lovely routes to run and cycle, plus a well-equipped gym with rowing machine, free weights, yoga mats, and a ZWIFT trainer.
Of course you don’t have to do this at the crack of dawn! We just think it’s an amazing way to start the day.
Heasley HIT sessions
Our gym has plenty of equipment to do things your way, but if you’d like to join the likes of Joe Wicks, Alice Liveing, or any of your favourite fitness trainers, we have a smart TV with access to lots of fabulous workouts.
We also have a local gym which offer superb group classes in Pilates, Yoga, Spinning etc. If you’d like us to book you in for a session during your stay with us, let us know and we’ll give you the timetable.
Melly’s Devon Detox
Melly has trained as a nutritionist and will compile a bespoke detox program based on a thorough questionnaire issued before your arrival (NB please let us know you would like to do this in advance).
Alongside this we offer optional yoga, pilates, meditation and relaxation classes, or you can just relax in the beautiful surroundings of Heasley Mill.

There is no doubt that whilst Exmoor is stunningly beautiful, it is also viciously steep! With the advent of electric bikes, cyclists of all standards have a magic weapon to enable them to all travel (TOGETHER) painlessly at the same speed to their destination . Electric bikes aren’t just for softies, they give you incredible range and are the way forward!
